Moton Village

The Time Is Now: Building a Legacy Together

Vision

To establish a thriving, multi-acre land development that serves the Moton-Griffin family for generations. Moton Village will:

  • - Provide accessible, peaceful housing for elders

  • - Create transitional space for young adults launching into life

  • - Serve as a refuge for any family experiencing hardship

  • - Offer a sustainable source of income through farming, hospitality, and entrepreneurship

  • - Host weddings, reunions, and spiritual gatherings in spaces rooted in joy and heritage

  • - Maintain family ownership and stewardship through shared values and financial responsibility

Mission

Our mission is to build a place of safety, strength, and belonging — rooted in faith, sustained by unity, and designed for generations to flourish. Moton Village exists to honor our elders by establishing a sanctuary where our family can thrive spiritually, emotionally, and economically. By creating a centralized shelter, we ensure that our elders are cared for with dignity, our youth are launched with love, and no family member ever walks alone. In this shared space, we will nurture legacy, cultivate stability, and weather any storm — together.

Values

At Moton Village, we are guided by four core values: Faith, Family, Stewardship, and Legacy. We put God first in all things, believing that faith is the foundation upon which true legacy is built. We honor the sacred responsibility of family — not just as a bond of blood, but as a chosen commitment to care for one another across generations. We practice stewardship by managing our time, talent, and treasure with intention, knowing that every act of giving is a seed toward something greater. And we lead with legacy in mind — building not just for today, but for the children, grandchildren, and great-grands who will one day walk these same paths.

We Envision

  • Private acres for individual households to build and live in peace

  • A transitional home to support young adults after graduation or hardship

  • A Family Center for gatherings, celebrations, worship, meals, and learning

  • Accessible housing for “The Sisters” — our elders — to live safely and supported

  • A Guest House for visiting family during holidays, reunions, and emergencies

  • A Wedding Venue that hosts sacred covenant ceremonies and generates income

  • A small farm with chickens and crops that nourish the land and our people

Countdown to Moton Village

Moton Village is more than a dream — it is a declaration. A declaration that we, the descendants of Eddie Moton Griffin, will not drift apart, that we will not let legacy slip through our fingers, that we will preserve our roots while planting new ones for generations to come. This land is our inheritance, our offering, and our promise.
